Este álbum é composto por duas músicas lançadas previamente em álbuns dos Beatles (Yellow Submarine e All You Need Is Love), quatro músicas inéditas (na época) (All Together Now, Only a Northern Song, Hey Bulldog e It's All Too Much), e o resto das músicas são faixas inéditas orquestrais de George Martin. Este é de longe o disco mais fraco dos Beatles pois contém apenas quarto faixas dos Beatles inéditas. Entretanto, as faixas inéditas são, em sua maior parte, nada mais que excelentes. 'Only a Northern Song e 'It's All Too Much' são de George Harrison que só aparecem neste álbum. A primeira é uma obra prima do psicodelismo. All Together Now, de Paul McCartney, é uma das faixas inéditas deste disco, basicamente um tipo de canção de brincadeiras de crianças. A obra-prima das faixas inéditas é Hey Bulldog, de John Lennon, que é tudo o que um rock-and-roll deve ser, e é uma das melhores músicas da banda.

Este álbum é uma má compra, se vc não for um fã ardoso dos Beatles, mas fique atento se é esta versão que vc comprou! A nova versão (Yellow Submarine, Soundtrack) vem sem as canções orquestradas de trilha sonora do filme e em seu lugar aparecem com ótimos remixes (mixagens novas) das canções antigas da banda. Enfim, este álbum é legal, mas não o suficiente.
